As you’ve surely heard by now, Donald Trump held a Nazi rally at Madison Square Garden. He didn’t call it that, of course—no swastikas, no Nazi flags—just a rally in a venue where Nazis held one back in 1939. Coincidence? Hardly. The Nazis were there 85 years ago, and now Trump and his “MAGA minions” gather in the exact same place. What other conclusion could we draw? Is it conceivable that two groups, separated by nearly a century, could meet in the same building for different reasons? Obviously not.

This is the math Kamala Harris and her friends are doing. Tim Walz kicked it off by saying it was a “direct parallel”—obviously, because of the location. Hillary Clinton then added that Trump was “reenacting” the rally. The Washington Post went with, “Another night at the Garden: How Trump’s rally echoed one in 1939.” And the big “echo”? The same building. That’s their argument. Simple, clear, and devastating.

But here’s the thing: Madison Square Garden hosts a Nazi rally almost daily. Ticketmaster tells me that Cyndi Lauper has her own Nazi rally there this week. Girls just wanna be Nazis, apparently. Duran Duran will hold a Nazi rally the next day. The 80s music scene is rife with Nazis, and the 90s aren’t much better: the Dave Matthews Band and Creed have Nazi rallies at MSG in November. I can't say I'm surprised about Creed, but I'm very disappointed in Dave Matthews. And let’s not forget, the New York Knicks will hold 41 Nazi rallies at MSG this season.

So here we are: every large gathering in a place that once hosted Nazis is itself a Nazi rally—unless it’s a DNC event or Green Party rally, of course. But let’s skip over those details and get back to the headline: Donald Trump is literally a Nazi.
 Everyone is a Nazi if you don’t OBEY… it’s a catch 22
