I've been enjoying the memes, but I haven't watched the whole interview, so I haven't made my mind up on it yet.
Obviously if he's talking about US companies holding Bitcoin, then self custody is an issue.

The 1602 bit seems oddly inaccurate for a guy that knows history so well. But there were people that just kept their heads down and kept their gold. Although the threats from the state for noncompliance were especially harsh.
