@anime graf mays 🛰️🪐 First time I saw it being talked about I called it another rog ally clone, out of my contempt for ASUS's pinnacle of low-effort design. The joycon aspect with back buttons and vertical mouse mode actually elevated it way beyond that in my estimation, so I feel bad for having such a harsh uninformed first opinion on it.

Way too many copycats are making Windows tablets with integrated Xbox-style controls and calling it a day. Zero thought put into how it will actually be used, just aping a successful controller and a successful form factor in a way that hardly works, because they're too cowardly to ape the successful Steam Deck directly.

 steam deck was much more advantageous if not for form factor but for choosing Linux and sticking to it, adapting steam OS with arch into a package that has leaped Linux gaming into focus for many people
