 @7502a322 I do come across devices that will not accept a Linux formatted FAT32 USB or flash card. When I format in Windows, works like a charm.

I've looked into it but never came up with much of anything. Search engines think I want the 'how to format a USB device to FAT32 in Linux' tutorials.  No. 
 @6d6c438b I've had windows tell me that devices are corrupt.  Take that same device to Linux, format and write a filesystem and then windows will happily accept the same device.

It's happened numerous times.
