I’ve barely exercised the last 6 weeks due to injury. I’ve eaten more. Weight stayed the same. How? Controlling my light environment. (That’s my theory at least)
cool - would love to learn more about what you're testing!
When the sun rises I make sure I’m up and I look at the sun/brightest part of the sky without any glasses on. Then when I’m working/staring a screen during daylight I wear the yellow lenses that block a good amount of blue light. Then after sunset, I switch to orange glasses that block all blue light. I try not to use LED lights after sunset (but I do watch tv with the blue light blockers on). I’ve been learning it’s possible that light diets are more important than food diets. 🤯 https://image.nostr.build/ea523eacbdc288576d5e3cd5c771a05555f33903c240c4de2740f2501c5dfd3d.jpg
i have a pink/red light lamp in my bedroom. apparently its for growing things? any idea of what effect that could cause?
Red light in bedroom is a great move. At sunset and sunrise there is more red light than blue light. So when our eyes detect more red light, they start to send signals that it’s time to start the day or get ready for bed. Most blue light is scattered by atmosphere when the sun is lower in the sky. So having more red light at night is a great move bc that’s what would be occurring in the natural environment. I actually think blue lights work better for plant growth but not an expert on that. Blue light basically = daylight. Most of the lights ppl use only include blue light and not full spectrum. In USA, they are actually banning full spectrum light bulbs which really makes you go hmmmm🤔
thank you for the response. I learned something new <3 you're awesome.
Light environment? Wdym?
We evolved under natural light (sunlight). In last 130 years, we have moved indoors and live under artificial light. All light sends signals to our insides to run certain programs. Sunlight sends optimal signals. Artificial light sends confusing signals. If we overdose on artificial light, it will lead to disease.
Interesting. So you’re exposing yourself to sun light but also staying away from artificial?
Yeah basically. If it’s the middle of the day I don’t mind being pulverized by Energy Star™️ LED light bulbs, but at night- steer clear.
