isn't thoth also aka hermes and enoch? studied with the gods and taught the kings and helped usher in quite a substantial golden age?
Hermes the wiki says yes... however the coincidence for me was the similarities of the concept of between... I was just related with Japanese, and somehow Mesomeric but now Thoth sounds much more intriguing
yeah, i recall there is some legendary tablets of thoth too, made of emerald, and the stories of hermes left a long chain of stuff related to this whole hermeticism which has also been perverted by nihilistic satanic sons of bitches, someone pointed this out to me the other day about the demiurge

and maybe you read my chatter about the nature of God and goodness and how it has durability... a response to that someone posted two nice quotes, one from the Bible and one from the Tao Te Ching, both more or less saying what i said and what came to me one day in budapest nyugati train station
emerald you say, huh? oh well. then maybe those were the same of the ten commandments, first or second version, i dunno
and no i did not read that second one you say :S but toss it to me pls or ill scroll to it later ;)
Hermes also did managed records, messages between folks no? As what I read, those habits of keeping records, bureaucratized finally, played part in what took Egypt down, along with polytheism... Ask the gut with the two shiny mountains in the head :P
 the guy*
i don't think so... but also read Critias to hear about the fall of the land of the gods, Atlantis... unfortunately that text abruptly ends just as it talks about corruption taking hold and a war starting, and other than that in greek you can read about the titanomachy, the war of the titans... so yeah, i think the peoples of atlantis were the ones that the greeks called titans and this is ... well... prehistory

the egyptians also have stories about this civilization of "gods" too

definitely need to read enoch again, several times, really soak it up, i have only read it once so far, and i have an edition now with the three most well known versions
first time hearing about enoch... 📝
oh cool, you'll be very interested to read it

it is very likely that the first 20 or so chapters of genesis were based on his account
Amazing Old Testament prophet who did not languish in death, but ascended to heaven.
yeah, for how important he was to the jews of 2000 years ago he didn't feature much in the catholic hot hits compilation

in the Book of Jasher it goes into some detail about how for some hundred years or more he was holding classes to teach all the kings of the earth... i forget exactly when but it was around age 300 that he was "taken up to heaven"

i should just add that there is a lot of data points suggesting that for the "gods" or "Titans" of northwest africa that in their idiom, ascending to the stars was actually a form of memorial of their death

but i'm not sure 100% - i do know for sure that people who had relatively close genetic connections to these different kind of humans were said to have lifespans of 800-1200 years and that they had been around since the beginning of the last galactic age (~25000 years) and that the events of Adam and enoch happened in the last 3000 years before the great flood catastrophe

it is possible, since they must have mastered space flight and were able to migrate to "new earths" (the Dogons point to the region around the Pleiades as being part of the region they left for), that indeed they mastered indefinite lifespans as well

reading the biblical family trees and mapping them out only puts Adam at 4500 years ago but the geological evidence (as in rocks, not carbon dating) points to the possible date of a global catastrophe at 12000 years ago and that the aftermath took almost 1200 years to fade, a minor glaciation called the ice age or the Younger Dryas was suddenly cut short by something that suddenly heated up the earth and at around the same time there much of the sahara was formed, in Apocalypse of Yajnavalkya they suggest that it was incinerated by a massive object that flew at a low pass across from west india and turned everything from the middle east to mauritania into char, removing so much of the carbon that it became desert via combustion... this is also referred to in multiple mythologies, some talk about a fire dragon that has a great battle across the sky and the origins of old stories of dragons at all, possibly related to Yormundangr and Enso and other mythological snake/dragons that left a trail of destruction
So interesting! Yes, this sounds more plausible than the Bible on these subjects. I do believe the titans and giants were one and the same, with the evolution of semantics being what it is. I mean, the Greeks have 8 words for love, for crissakes. The need for religion(s) to explain away cataclysmic events, so that they can corral/exploit the emotions of the “profane” is just criminal. As a Christian, I am not apostate, yet I have questions. And we are subject to a history inscribed by the victors of bloody state/territory wars. Kinda sus.
