I really want to just go to college and learn stuff and finish.
You will emerge dumber. Or maybe not. I don’t know. 🤷🏻♂️
I only have 2 more semesters, but they're dragging into the third semester because I have to work so much that I'm too burnt out to study. Need to quit my job.
Do it. Quit. I did. It’s glorious.
Why not Saylor Academy for free first?
German college is free and I'm almost done.
Ahhhh. Sorry, German college is different. American college will dumb you down. 👌👊👊👊👊👊👊👊🧮
Do you want the degree or the knowledge?
Why not both🤷🏻♂️
Yeah, both. I've already learnt a lot and I'm tired of being the only person on every team without a degree. Wanting to learn something is why I didn't pick something easier, but I'm like, damn this is friggin hard. 🙈
That’s what she said. 🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁
😂
LOL.. But take it from someone who barely got started in College before feeling forced to drop by the circumstances, get back in and finish your degree. That will not only boost your confidence but will empower you to risk more and get more. After you get the degree, you can study something different that will bring you more joy. Put closure on that goal you started. Your future self will forever tap you on the shoulder. Do not hesitate another second. SPECIALLY IF IT IS FREE. I was so poor and alone, I could not even focus on my first classes. I was always hungry and my little jobs paid minimum wage. The first thing I did as an adult, was pre pay my child’s college tuition… the rest is history. Hope this helps! Carlos.
I'm actually a total computer nerd. My new dream is to finish and go back to teach seminars on Bitcoin, Lightning and Nostr.
I was feeling sort of unmotivated lately, and thought about switching to mechanical engineering because of my job, but Nostr has me all fired up, again. The last time I took the protocol and communications class, I was like, I'm never going to use this. 😴 Now, I'm like... Oooh... websockets. 🤩
Nothing is free, somebody else is paying it 👀
It's information mathematics.
Why not just do it?
Cuz I make 🤑 and we'd have to give that up.
Mmmh, yes. To be honest, I've often thought about going back to university myself.
I'm going to try to maybe cut my hours, first. The economy is so bad that it's a bad time to quit. Might end up with an informatics degree and no job.
That's right. The economic situation isn’t easy. And I definitely have to earn money. I have to admit that I just love learning. If I went back to university, I would study psychology.
I've always had an engineering position while studying, so it's always a totally grind. But I do remember the mass of unemployed engineers and biologists in the 1990s and the recession is just starting.
I come from a completely different background 🤣 I studied German, political science and sociology. And worked a lot as a freelancer during and after my studies.
Engineering and science has been brutal.
I'm too, I want to study political science and psychology. Which subjects do you want to study?
