 I know dude. I can barely get the spam under control on Ditto. Mostr is suffering from the same shit. I've been incrementally trying to fix it, but it needs an overhaul at this point. It's crushed under its own weight.

It's a little bit better than it was before. But it has two issues:

1. The strfry relay at relay.mostr.pub is malfunctioning. I tried scaling it up, but I think I've hit the limits of the strfry database on this machine. I think I need to switch it out with a custom relay.

2. The SQLite database in the bridge itself is too big to use reliably anymore, and the CPU spikes to 100% constantly. Once again the database is the issue.

To fix this, I think I could either build a new relay with Postgres just for the bridge, or build a new relay integrated into the bridge. Unfortunately this overhaul wouldn't even add any new features or better UX, it would just make it work again with the load that it currently has.

 is this worth doing (too much work) since most fedi instances shadowbans / blocks nostr now? or maybe just focus on ditto?
