Finally listened to this. Super curious about his archive software that he mentioned. I just do wget -r on websites I want right now.
I got anxiety listening to what he does though. Software X for links, software Y for this, software Z for this. Idk, that's kind of intense.
I'm at the point now where if it's digital notes I can't find them, the paper notes I know exactly where they are. For everything else, one single emacs org file.

Ew. Emacs.
I am hopeful the upcoming StartOS release will unlock a lot since it adds wireguard. I just need to sort running wireguard alongside my VPN on the phone
My vpn is my wireguard network - tailscale using an exit node which my home router sends out via vpn client connection. I use automation on my phone to use exit node whenever i disconnect from my wifi. Has been working well
truenas is great. can host almost anything on there, nextcloud, webservers, mail. anything. truenas with a good VPN to your home and you can do most things.
also, for the love of god make your own pfsense router. and when your ready put your wan connection out through a VPN.
1. grapheneos
2. pfsense
3. truenas
In that order (in my humble opinion)
