 This is important.  I’ve had people tell me Bitcoin is a Ponzi scheme and a number of other excuses when I’ve asked them if they’ve bought Bitcoin.  I usually follow it up with a question asking if they’ve studied it.  Maybe I should just start there and do as you write. 

 Now is probably a good time to tell them to buy a little and study. Price pumps are a good motivator. 

 I ask people what is holding them back from buying, then offer to gift them the book that answers that question and answer their questions about the book.

Very few takers. 

 Be careful who you tell, envy is an ugly beast. Even if you talk about Bitcoin and not "your Bitcoin", they will will make assumptions, especially in a cycle or two when the numbers get ridiculous.

Or at the very least lie and tell them you paid off old debts with 90% of your holdings or something along those lines. 

 If your telling people what to do, you're not their friend. 

 I tell them shit! They are grown ups, they can do whatever the fuck they please! Why is their wealth my problem? Mine isn't theirs!
