@683562c3 or a $500+ Bose SoundDock? I have one of those with a 30-pin connector (with a Bluetooth adapter plugged into it). I use my HomePods. I mean, I haven’t exactly given up on it, but I haven’t used it regularly for years, either. 🤷♂️ @03a95182
@3409b63c @683562c3 When you're a senior on a fixed income, replacing that $500 Bose Sounddock becomes an insurmountable obstacle and even finding an adapter solution to work introduced unnecessary complexity and expense. The refusal to update is a different issue altogether, but my experience was that people were gunshy because they *had* blindly updated and run into issues that they then had to pay someone like me to extricate them from. Once bitten, twice shy, especially for normies.
