The mistake is thinking the real power-planners end in US Government & politics. 

These people don't really care about American values, or that america is the superpower. They have their own agendas, and enough power to navigate the events of the decades as they pass.  But, most importantly, they have levels of patience even the most low time preference bitcoiner can only hope to achieve and preserve.  They have a centuries long headstart.

The american left is definitely off their meds in a bad way, but they're not the characters that worry me
