Let’s be clear. The globe is warming, but there’s no solid link to humans causing it, and most reasonable evidence points to the sun (or we have no idea). The point here valid but it’s not a pass to generate energy from Coal because there’s overwhelming evidence it kills the people, land, air, and water around us. But yes the idea that Carbon is bad and we humans are causing this is beyond absurd.
Remember this has to be looked at over hundred of thousands of years. Do not draw conclusions over <100 years. This was same issue that caused us to get excited about the “hockey stick” in temp when in reality we just enabled satellite temperature readings and they differed a lot from the ice cores that provide the hundreds of thousands of years of data.
You and I are in 100% agreement on that.
there is plenty of ideas about it, related to a thing called the Galactic Current Sheet

this is the galactic scale form of this:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heliospheric_current_sheet

it is a massive magnetic alignment propagation across the gases and celestial bodies with magnetic permeability, and it oscillates 360 degrees on a fairly predictable cycle, which currently is around 6000 years per 90 degrees

this is causing a reduction of the protection from radiation and plasma from space and the sun, which is leading to increased cloud formation, increased ultraviolet penetration to the surface, and ultraviolet radiation increases ice melt rates

there will be a continuing very small rise in temperature because it causes increased cloud cover but the same phenomena is going to limit increase of temperature and at a certain point when the field gets weak enough, it will result in massive increases in wind speeds, vulkanism and seismic activity, not to mention size and scale of electrostatic discharges (lightning)

just go look up the current observations of jupiter and venus regarding wind speeds and the loss of atmosphere of pluto and record storms on Saturn and Pluto
Interesting I’ll take a look. Here’s the paper correlating sun activity and showing it looks to match climate https://arxiv.org/pdf/astro-ph/0310823 as with all scientific papers read it in reverse
i've been dimly aware of this stuff for a long time, i remember in my late teens (circa early 90s) reading stuff about pole shifts and it seemed a little off the left field but since then a lot of science is lining up to suggest that in fact planets can have crustal slippage due to magnetic forces and that stars periodically are induced or naturally have really big explosions on them that cause all kinds of other crazy stuff (eg, a massive ejection of material that condenses over some decades later and lead to meteor storms)

there is no question that pole shifts happen

there is probably dozens or more geological discoveries that suggest that lava with a lot of ferromagnetic material was erupted while the earth's field was oriented different ways

this is the most extreme part of it but the most important thing to understand is this:

https://edition.cnn.com/2021/05/27/middleeast/clouds-electricity-rain-spc-intl/index.html

anything that increases the amount of eletrons in the upper atmosphere increases cloud formation
