Hi everyone This poor, remote town in Peru uses #bitcoin It’s has to be seen to be believed 💜 https://youtu.be/-uCyFQPpdGI
Make a documentary about Rolante RS next.
I’ve heard this in passing before but what is it please?
It's a 20k inhabitants city in southern Brazil. A guy started orangepilling local business and now there are more than 200 accepting sats. It's more than lugano but without the 10m francs from the city hall. And it really has a circular btc economy now, check on btcmap. I think it's the biggest city with a btc circular economy and without a bukele or lugano mayor, it came from the local people in a total voluntary way.
And as a big success it has influenced other towns and city around, and other bitcoiners in Brazil to start orangepilling the same way, another case is São Tomé das Letras in MG. A nice way to practice your Portuguese.😉
Okay yeah I need to get flights
I like that very much. That's the way it should be, a good example. #bitcoin #peru nostr:note1kvgratnhg9xdny0ly4edtv0n3psmtxcc2uq99u2u52plmxfnk8wqw98h42

I’m a journalist 😊
A real one!
Doing my best 🫡
Zapped for your contribution.

This is probably one of my favorite #Bitcoin documentary so far. Great job Joe! nostr:note1kvgratnhg9xdny0ly4edtv0n3psmtxcc2uq99u2u52plmxfnk8wqw98h42
Wow, that was really unexpected and cool to see! Why are they using Bitcoin there? Is it because it's difficult to get a bank account? National fiat currency seems like a relatively less terrible shitcoin in terms of USD exchange rate over time.
