Compared to Bitcoin mining, it's a disgrace. On the other hand, it's to be expected that AI will receive so much attention and resources because it is potentially very useful to sustain the current model and, for extension, narratives. What caught my attention in the article is what I highlighted because I thought the Chinese had no shortage of talent.
