If you are a “high profile org” adding NIP05 verification is not an issue. All of them have Google and Bing files added to verify them there. So this option is the best and most reliable 🫡 

 Dude. It's super simple. This isn't them, but if it was:

Social media manager: hey IT team I'm putting in a request for a thing. 

IT team: rolls face across keyboard 

Social media manager: updates profile with the text the IT team gave them. 

 If you have to involve your IT team I’d consider it a failure 

 Perhaps. 

 If it's a high profile org, I feel like needing to involve the IT team is a feature. 

 I don't think everyone in an organization of thousands should be able to upload a file to their root directory. 

 But it's a good first step and most of us figured it out... 

 They need to do at least something. NIP-05 isn’t that hard if you’re savvy with websites like a large organization should be. But even a message from a known account verifying the the npub would be a temporary/short term way to verify. 

 Message from known profile much easier for a social media manager but they may even hesitate to do that. But it’s good for nostr awareness 

 I can hardly be considered a technical user, and even I was able to get NIP-05s set up on my personal site.

 The guardian could post their nPub on their website. I'd accept that as proof  

 I would disagree. The IT department for sure can create the appropriate file ready for the NIP-05 query. 

Even carrd.co has this process automated for their landing pages. That's how I got mine done 😄

 I like the idea a human might pull out a drivers licence a passport, or some other cred. If an organization can't figure out a webserver, or publishing the npub on their domain, they could smile holding their business card.
