There isn't a deep enough respect for philosophy today. I believe you can see that fact playing itself out alongside all of the issues we're seeing. 

 I truly agree! Even my own school system thinks philosophy is just a chit chat class not valuable at all. 

 Even academics miss the point too. Just as often as the rest of the world.
