I’m confused about the headline given by the NYT. Why say that the “far right removed the Speaker of the House” when every Democrat in the House voted to do so? Isn’t it more accurately stated, “a coalition between the opposition party and eight members of the far right caucus voted to oust the Speaker”?

I also do not understand why the Democrats would vote en bloc alongside the radical Republicans. Is there any prudent or responsible advantage in participating in chaotic governance?

No CW b/c I’m asking in earnest and looking for honest feedback on these questions.

@d549fb09 Because Kevin betrayed us at every turn. Before the vote he said he won't do anything for the Democrats. He reneged on the deal made with Biden in May on the budget.
