Lot of people concerned re nostr’s growth, but not me. Have a podcast maybe 400 people listen. Have a two substacks, maybe about the same read each. Kind of small compared to my old job and I’ve been doing this full time* for almost three years. But then I think — imagine you were a musician doing gigs and at least 400 people showed up for them. That’s pretty good. And consider Johann Sebastian Bach wasn’t known for his compositions until 100 years after his death! One of the greatest artists in human history just writing away in obscurity. He fucked around big time, never even found out one bit. We have it great on nostr, that anyone reads our uncensored notes at all. Tick tock, next block. GFY, next post.

quality over quantity, I feel so good expressing myself and my toughts with close friends, bunch of people around me and I feel satisfied and an happy human. I'm open and happy to share moments with new people, even in digital realm like I'm doing now, but IDGAF about majority appreciation. Everytime I do speech I can choose to maximize low-attention high-numbers appreciation or to maximize the correctness and truth of what I feel and think. And everytime I choose the latter I feel good, and in the long run I also receive much much unexpected benefits.

Hi :) because when I talk to people I mainly want to express myself, stimulate discussions, learn something from others and achieve empathy connections. "How I feel" is a simple imperfect euristic that makes me understand if these goals (or some of them at least, depend on the nature of the discussion) are reached someway.

Interesting, that we're both writing about writing. There aren't many "real" writers here, yet, or they publish primarily off-Nostr. It's mostly people writing instructions, news updates, or press releases. Or something about Bitcoin. Occasionally a sermon. Still feel permanently out of place, here. Too intense. Too pensive. Too passionate. Too artistic.
