I AM NOT BUT TY. SADLY NO LIGHTNING NODE YET.

CAN I USE THE SAME COMPUTER FOR MY REGULAR NODE AS LIGHTNING? IF SO, HOW MUCH STORAGE NEEDED?
Depends. If you’re running Bitcoin Core on Linux, then yes. I’m not so sure about other operating systems.

It doesn’t require much more storage than the regular node. Whatever you need to comfortably store Bitcoin (1TB) works fine.

There are lots of mobile node options which I believe can also be used to connect to Damus. Have you checked out Zeus or Phoenix?
OK TY. DOWNLOADED BUT NEVER MESSED WITH EITHER. I NEED TO STROLL DOWN THE LN RABBITHOLE

MY NODE WAS ON A LAPTOP THAT I NO LONGER HAVE, I NEED TO BUILD ANOTHER BTC NODE AS WELL

ANY THOUGHTS ON MUTINY WALLET? I KEEP HEARING THE NAME, IT'S BILLED AS A 'SELF-CUSTODIAL LIGHTNING WALLET'
I haven’t used it much. I run my own node so I don’t really have any need for their services.

I’m fairly neutral on it as a product. It’s very convenient and easy to use, but it’s also a progressive web app (PWA) and therefore the developers can push any update to it at any time without your knowledge. It’s definitely not fully “trustless” from my understanding, but it is a self-custodial hot wallet which supports lightning and is easy to use.

If you don’t want to bother running a full lightning node (which is fine), I think it’s a good option to check out. Just be sure to stay aware of how it functions and treat it like a checking account. Lightning wallets are by nature less secure than cold storage. I think it has great Nostr compatibility too!
THINK I WILL JUST RUN THE VANILLA LN NODE, TY FOR ALL THE INFO
The easiest way to spin up a Bitcoin Full node, Lightning Node, electrum server, dojo and nostr relay all-in-one is to use UMBREL

install on any linux distro you have setup by typing the one single command from CLI provided on the website.
I'm using ThinkPad T420

 I've got a t420 sitting in a milk crate
Hopefully its up and running in that milk crate
