Anyone good with cameras? My panasonic gh6 is sometimes turning the screen purple. It doesn’t affect the image, but it worries me. #ask #help #asktr #asknostr

This is one area of tech where I know nothing 😕
 Turn off the Nostr filter.
 This
Is this happening on the camera's LCD?
 Yeah!
Well, if it's not affecting the image, then it's not the sensor. Possibly the connection between the screen and camera. I know they have separate wires for each color channel, and I've seen those get messed up. I hope Panasonic can fix that for you - that one is still pretty new and shouldn't be failing so soon.
 Contrast-ic!
 It's a defect.
Or an effect, depending on your preference to the Nostr filter.
 Use Fujifilm camera 🍊💪👍
It may be because you’re settings suggest overexposure of the scene and maybe the camera is showing highlights (overexposed parts of the scene) on your camera screen
 Sensor fault.
Does it mean it’s ruined? Or can I still use it?
Might be buggy/corrupted firmware but looks to be a damaged sensor. I’d send it off to get it inspected. Ask them to test it before doing any work. Purple colouring is corrupted data feed from the sensor to the display and SD card. Software is trying to display it as accurately as it can hence the colour tinting. I’ve had a few canons do this over the years.
