Core and Knots necessarily have the same service ID in order to satisfy dependent services like lightning.
Knots is on the community registry, Core is on the primary registry.
Your updates tab shows both registries, so you must have just clicked the Knots one.
It's an unfortunate and temporary UX shortcoming of 0.3.5.1 and will be fixed in 0.3.6 when we expand the versioning system to support alternative implementations of the same services, like Knots and Core.
To switch back to Core, do the following:
1. In the System tab, click the "manage" header 5+ times to enable developer mode.
2. Go to the Start9 Registry in the Marketplace. Click Bitcoin Core. And click "Reinstall".
3. Optionally disable developer mode by clicking the manage heading another 5 times.
Shit happens but I'm really glad to have the guys at Start9 on my side. Telegram Support happened within 1 minute and I had a plan of action to follow and the reasoning behind the plan within 5.
I love these guys.

Same here… whenever I’ve needed help (which is very rare, it just works) support has been swift
Ooh, just checked the community registry and saw knots, datum, and public pool and the beta community registry has Chamberlain for running your own e-cash mint.
Life is good.
Holy SHIT! Confirmed.
I want my Bitaxe Gamma NOW!
What's the url to the beta community reg?
Start9 support is insanely good.
I've had the same experience with Start9 support and they are also polite and friendly!
Retarded shit from retarded engineers. Even when fluke-jr tried making knots default Bitcoin install under Gentoo, a simple `USE=-knots net-p2p/bitcoin-qt` got you actual core and not the "WHOOPS, I WAS HACKED - MY BAD! SEND DONATIONS TO CARE FOR MY TRAILER TRASH KIDS!" edition.
