 I’d imagine that’s the same for the UK too. Regulation is getting very restrictive for bitcoin/money apps here. Basically can’t buy bitcoin with GBP without going to an exchange that has been KYC’d to the max. Pocketbitcoin was one of the latest to stop payments in GBP.

 New regulations in the United Kingdom:

The FCA (Financial Conduct Authority) has just introduced the new regulation "PS23/6: Financial promotion rules for cryptoassets" in the UK. This new regulation has come into force in the last few days in a fast-track process and means that from now on we will no longer be able to accept and process transactions in British pounds as we did previously.
