 @6d6ec790 I would suggest an investment of $1B for a water and sewage system for a third world country would go a lot further than that same investment in data centers.

Further at what? The human race will eventually just feel justified killing the billions of people the climate people feel are killing the earth that exist because humans feel like we need to take care of people who live in places that are effectively hostile and might be better unpopulated. So, it depends on your goals. Is giving people clean water about them or is it really about you. Death isn't a moral failure, is it? Suffering is. Data centers enables more Candy Crush!
