The die was cast when we elected our first president under the Constitution we are governed by.
A billionaire (almost) who plied voters with booze, owned slaves (but only while he was alive, his worshippers tell me), and was elected by a whopping margin in an election where only 10-11% were eligible to vote.
An important benefit of having so much wealth is reputation-laundering.
@6b43cb18 My ex represented victims of child and domestic abuse. Guess who were most consistently the offenders? In several cases, they also turned out to belong to Satanic cults. 🤑

@6b43cb18 @0548cb44 @60ef6410 @89e51746 “Billionaire” doesn’t translate over 200 years and vast changes in society, but I understand what you mean and it doesn’t really invalidate your point.
It’s just that money cannot really be compared that way. Power can be compared, but qualitatively.

Did I stress his wealth way too much, comparing it to modern day billionaires in wealth and power that it spoiled the overarching point I thought I made so much that it forced a reply from you focused on that part disproportionately?
If so, I apologize unreservedly.
I hate putting people out like that.
