The US FDA has approved a new nasal spray for treating allergic reactions, offering an alternative to EpiPen. The spray, called Auvi-Q, is designed to provide quick relief from severe allergic reactions, such as those caused by peanuts or insect stings. According to the manufacturer, Mylan, the spray contains epinephrine, the same active ingredient found in EpiPen. This approval aims to expand treatment options for patients with life-threatening allergies.
