You need a program to plug your steam key in from zap. Stream.  
The app will push the Stream to your nostr feex where you can share it. You can also share it from zap. Stream once you're live.

 Primal doesn't support it directly in their app, other apps can view the stream by using the nostr:naddr1xxx links

 damus supports streaming zap.stream in the app. it doesn't have the chat though and that's the best part. afaik primal doesn't support it on any of their platforms. 

 Youre probably just seeimg the embedded player, that's something which is supported by opengraph tags.

 then it's not supported, I don't use primal or damus so I can't test it there, nor do I know how you claim to have literally seen people stream natively on those apps, it certainly wasn't NIP53

On the app, they both go to external links. One on zap.stream the other is to primal.

They just post the stream url naked in the note im guessing.

 Damus and primal do not support viewing or creating nip-53 zap stream livestreams.  
Your probably saw some other stream or video format from those apps.
