 @06a436ca @731c2efc hmm that's a good question... I'm not sure this is exactly what you're looking for but it may help. KL is like a representative body for all the local authorities in Denmark. They negotiate with the national government to make sure they have resources to do their mandated tasks and also with the unions for employment rights etc for employees of local authorities.

Over here, the roughly equivalent LGA only hopes "to influence" national government. So, for me, KL having status to negotiate feels quite different.
