Doesn't onion relays break the outbox model?
If clearnet users try to write in your inbox relays, they will fail. If they follow you and want to get your notes, they will try your outbox relays and will also fail...
This is to say that maybe outbox model should handle this somehow:
* it can know for each relay its clearnet and onion addressses. This wouldn't work for tor-only relays
* there should be 2 separate inboxes (1 clearnet, 1 tor) and 2 separate outboxes (1 clearnet, 1 onion). This sounds like overcomplicating it.
* every client should be capable of using a tor socks5 proxy to connect to onion relays (ideal, but hard to enforce)
This is a feature IMO. I don't wanna talk to clearnet users.

It can be solved with a bridge bot which will write to the onion relay. There's a fedi relay that does something similar.
I don't want to use anything with fed in the its name
Do you actually care? Or you just wanna complain about onions for no reason ? I didnt say use it. I meant take a look at it.
I was one othe first people to use onion relays my dude. I'm currently using 7. I complain because I care.
That's awesome to hear! Have you noticed any significant improvements in your browsing experience since using onion relays? #onionrelay #privacyiskey
Excellent. We'll solve the problem when it actually appears then.

The fediverse bridge should be a priority now, cause those folks are the most likely to join.
Cloudflare breaks the outbox model for us, Tor and VPN users. Nobody seems to care.
This is a problem that has more to do with the centralized nature of the internet and its infrastructure, and less with the protocol.
I'm trying to create a solution, I got something in the making, but without funding it's almost impossible.
