Oddbean new post about login | logout lol. My doctor wrote me a new prescripton. I told him to send it to the hospital's own/internal pharmacy. Now CVS and Walgreens are msging me saying that the prescription is ready. Fuck this system. Can't wait to Nostrify the shit out of this clusterfuck.

In the USA its a strict legal requirement that you 1) can always choose which pharmacy you want your prescription sent to (doesn’t mean that they accept your insurance tho) and 2) your prescriber MUST send your prescription there barring a weird exception like they suspect a crime or self harm
I know... It's ridiculous. I don't want that. I want the doctor to give me the prescription and I want to use it anywhere I so desire. My doctor doesn't care and doesn't need to know where I want to buy the medication.
So who will start the medstr? The doctor signs and marks the patient.

Questions: Did you pay for the consult out of pocket or are you using government funds or private insurance? I noticed that this only happens when patients are not directly paying for the consult. They are delegating that to third parties and those parties are running free telling doctors what to do.
Since I'm from Germany we don't have to pay for anything. They stole the money already from us in form of mandatory social security. So the whole system is like that.
