8 souls in planet - 5billion internet users
how does ban rule on 28million and 39million users really matters ?
when countries 300 to 500million+ like india china indonesia brazil turkey do it then it matters

I guess I'm just disappointed that western culture is becoming so fundamentally anti-human and wiping itself out of existence.
The pendulum swings way too far to the left, and then it swings back to the right. It seems like these cycles are approximately 20 years.

There is always pain and bloodshed

We will get through this
Unfortunately what we are seeing is
since the advent of portable information tech,
a 24hr news cyxle becomes possible and the entire population is exposed to propaganda all the time.

I take your point about the pendulum cycles,
but there isn't really any precedent for this.
Certainly, having a phone with access to all the world’s information that’s connected everywhere you are…

Game changing and unprecedented.

We’re learning the power and pain points of this tech. But we’re pushing onward while adapting.

It appears real wealth is opting out of this whole mess and returning to humble, off-grid, self-sustaining lands and lifestyles with small communities.

But everyone gets there in their own time.
Agree that the ultimate solution is return to localism for sure 👍

But I'm afraid in the short term (next 100yrs or so) we're going to see authoritarian control over populations that don't have the skills to process and analyze the information they're fed.
 I opt out.

Continuing to improve and aspiring to become ungovernable 💪🏿
India and China already have draconian internet controls.
