Fascinating: I just received a response from the Min of Ed related to my OIA request - details here: https://fyi.org.nz/request/23870-rationale-for-funding-google-microsoft-software-for-public-schools-in-new-zealand?nocache=incoming-91607#incoming-91607 - they effectively refused almost all my questions, many of them because the requested "documents are listed in the
Ministry’s record management system as missing as at 2015". Whoa. Dodgy.
What was the name of the failed payroll system that left teachers without checks for months? Novapay or something like that? I remember when the government released the postmortem for that. I was working a contract for the Dept of the PM/Cabinet (DPMC). Thankfully I got pulled off that and put on Telecom (Spark) for a bit, but then was put on a Ministry of Education contract (specifically that teacher evaluation program .. PACT I think..)

Yea, a year working for the education sector (in both 🇺🇸 and 🇳🇿 ); it becomes painfully obvious how there are too many people working there with either nothing upstairs or they're hard core ideologically driven to believe whatever ever their ideas are right and everyone should accept them without questions ..... I hate government contracts .. in all countries.
@d72d5211 Losing some documents is normal. Losing most of the ones an individual asks for is dodgey.

Can you get the ear of someone who does a lot of OIAs to figure out if this is general dodgey (culture of denying requests) or specific dodgey (here be explicit corruption)?
@d72d5211 I think we can conclude that they use SharePoint for document management.
