I care more about terminal ballistics. A 16" barrel is way, way more effective than a 10.5. Plus, less concussion. Though, I do see the case for shorties if you have a suppressor and are only worried about 150m and in.
I have an 18" for me the increased velocity helps me buck the wind a bit.
Yup. It helps, but, you really need heavier bullets with a higher BC for that.
