Australians can use both Australian English and American English because we've  grown up watching American TV, but Americans seem unaware that we speak a different language or that we're  culturally different. 

 @0177da18 I've been a fan of my cousins in the south for a long time. Because I'm always talking to people in the english speaking world outside the states I catch myself using other slang than my stateside variety
