 podman because it's not proprietary and less annoying. Container Desktop (https://container-desktop.com/) is kinda nice for devs who shun cli and would miss Docker Desktop. 

 Start9 used Docker and then switched to Podmon because it didn't require some root things... I think. 

All of Start9 packages use Podmon so there is heavy use and testing as well as deployment.
