 Seems very odd that "experimental" things are being included in the "official" releases. Can't they have a beta version that's explicitly presented as such?

 These are off by default, seems like a workable way to harden them before they become 'non-experimental'

 We would all do well to pay more attention to these things, and (with the exception of CVE type patches), be in no rush to hurry through an upgrade.....
