The bout will see two rising contenders face off in the welterweight division. Meanwhile, the promotion is still searching for a replacement for Belal Muhammad's injured title defense against Shavkhat Rakmonov.

Garry, undefeated at 15-0 overall and 8-0 in the UFC, aims to challenge top contenders with his next win. Buckley, on the other hand, has been a workhorse for the UFC since signing in 2020, boasting a 10-4 record with five-fight win streak.
