 Storing BTC

I think that storing bitcoins should be your main priority while traveling. First of all, leave your main wallet at home! If you are afraid of some accidents, you should probably take more cash, because, unfortunately, ambulances don't accept Bitcoin.

So what hardware wallet should you consider?

Personally, when I travel, I use two wallets. The first one is a lightning wallet called WoS, and the second is an on-chain wallet called Blockstream Jade.

WoS is the most comfortable lightning wallet that exists at the moment. It's custodial, but fine for storing small amounts of sats. There are non custodial analogues such as Phoenix, but fees are usually higher there.

I use Blockstream’s solution because I have a spare Jade lying around, but for an average user, software solutions will be more than enough. If I would choose a software wallet I would pay attention to such wallets as Samourai, Sparrow wallet, Nunchuk etc.
