The last living member of a genus 
On Earth for 65 million years 
Less than 1% now survive from egg to adult

But hey, it’s nothing right!?
They used to live to 75 years old. 
Now they are lucky to make it to 15 years. 

Hellbender salamanders 
Cool clear watered flowed 
Adapted to be a habitat specialist 
Bodies hidden in daylight 
Both #predator and #prey 
Symbiotic Relationships

Night hunters gathered for spite 
Bottom dwellers crave delight  
             Polluted night hunters seek
I’m the last living member of my genus 
speaks 

Spend entire life in water 
Less than 1% survive from egg to adult
