Worker Unions are a communist communist construct and have no place in a capitalist society
In pratice they are heavy politicized but, under free market capitalism, I believe it should be encouraged for some type of workers to freely associate so that they can better negotiate their pay.
I even could see strikes as some form of salary negotiation. No pay raise? Fine, won't work until it happens. It can't get more capitalist than that.
As long as the business is free to just fire them all and hire new workers then it's fair

If your skills are valuable take them to another company in the market for the pay raise if you are truly worth the salary

But since governments make it illegal to fire a striking worker it's a commie construct
'But since governments make it illegal to fire a striking worker it's a commie construct '

Whoosh.

Worker Exploitation is a thing, just so that's clear. While we have a bevy of employment options available to us today, nearly everyone was an unskilled laborer when this all came to a head years ago.

Learn some history and tell me the collective thoughts behind unions aren't literal, human-based consensus mechanisms enacted to induce change within the system in question. Does that not sound familiar? 🙄

Communists back in the day would've just shot you in the head and let your body fall into an open pit as recompense for your outburst and/or criticism.
There is no better consensus mechanism than a free market. History can be interpreted many ways. Was 2008 a demonstration of governments saving the economy or signing it's death certificate for the future? You don't need to look far to see businesses without unions outperform union companies by a huge margin

It just lowers product and service quality while increasing prices
...and can conpletely fuck the working class. Without restrictions, it devolves into pudding and end ups eating itself to death.

You've seen what The State and Private Companies do to their employees, given enough leeway. I'd rather not have some entity which isn't even a person force me out of my job for baseless reasons. You're speaking of self-loyalty which has no part of the corporate equation, but keep sucking that free market dick thinking it's the ultimate solution; It's what got us into this mess.

You have rights today because a lot of folks broke their backs decades ago to ensure we wouldn't get totally fucked at the whims of others.
Agree with the first part and not the second
Freedom of speech and freedom of association are fundamental rights....I also believe in a truly free market....let the union shops compete against the non-union shops and allow the consumer to benefit from the competition.
