Knows a lot about them, I think. 

But... I would buy pretty much any Toyota from that era.

 I think the 08 LC is still fairly safe. Robust vehicle that should last quite some time. Not a terrible bugout car for its off-road capabilities. The only connectivity it has is bluetooth so it's fairly low-tech. The ones I'd worry about are the consoles with streaming and maps.
