I’ve stopped doing it. I don’t hide our failures, or our successes. It’s an easy way to curate our friends.
My wife and I have both been through situations the last few years that have taught us these lessons, and I see it so much more clearly now when dealing with people. I hate it especially when I encounter it in people I care about.
Yeah, it’s disheartening. Watching humans, being human sucks. Growing up I always wondered why my grandfather had such few friends, but looking back on it, and the lessons he tried to impart, it makes sense. Age and experience are life’s greatest teacher.
