 Did you create your account using Primal?
Sometimes if you switch clients, follow lists gets wiped out.

 I can't follow anyone. The follow button is not working. I don't care about my previous list. Besides... I do not remember how I created my account. Prolly not primal.... I created my nip05 with terranostr.com and I think I got to iris first and that was a pain then I found primal and got in using the nip05 from terranostr.com

 Oh...sometimes I've heard this happen if the kind3 follower/relay list isn't there or sent to main relays....but this seems like a different issue.
Maybe Primal team can help
