Anyone know of any stacking methods for firewood when you don’t want to build another tin roof structure ?

We’re getting TONS of extra firewood from this storm, but no room to store. I may just throw a tarp over a pile but I’ve seen odd stacking methods on YT in the past just can’t remember any of the names

For 1M Sats, I’ll share the secret of my success 🤣 https://i.nostr.build/pVeKBI9z0eupsV2L.jpg
why did you post the pic before you got paid? 🤦‍♂️
It’s like posting a photo of a coke bottle. You still haven’t given away the secret formula 😂
🫠Knowledge comes at a price, but sometimes it has to be shared with the community.
Lmao that’s pretty much my current setup which is full of wood already
 Alright 500K Sats 😂
You could try the "holzhaufen" or "holzhausen" stacking method, which is a circular woodpile design that doesn't require a roof. It’s sturdy, allows for good airflow, and helps the wood dry out more evenly. You stack the logs in a circular pattern, leaning them inward as you go up, and top it with a cone-shaped pile to help shed rain. It’s a space-efficient option that doesn’t need a tarp or roof.

If that doesn’t work, a simple crisscross pattern stack (also known as a "log cabin" style) can provide better airflow than a basic pile, and throwing a tarp over that will help keep it dry.

Good luck with the extra firewood!

this! my grandpa used this technique
 That's good to know.
Exactly what I was looking for, thank you
It's my pleasure to share it with you.
 Was going to suggest this.
Going to lock this note as solved!
I'm glad I solved it before you arrived. Let's support each other.
 🤙
I've seen people pick trees which are close enough together on their property and stack wood between them. The wood won't last as long, but it looks cool and there's no upfront cost.

If you want additional protection for the wood I suppose you could lay cinderblocks on the ground and tarp the stack.
Thanks, I will probably stack them on bricks. No trees near my house though which I’m thankful for! South Carolina is in absolute shambles right now, trees on the ground EVERYWHERE
That's what I'm hearing. I hope you and your family are safe 🙏
 We’re all okay, thank you
hardwood will last years on the ground, especially if drained well.
only covered soft wood for burning
 burning/fires later
