As you grow older, it becomes harder to distinguish between where you’ve changed and where the world has changed.

I used to consider myself left of center.  Now I don’t give a fuck, but I am considered by my friends and family to be more right leaning - whatever that means.

Have I changed? Of course.

Has the land-scape changed? 
HOLY SHIT!

What’s crazy to me is how many people let themselves be swept away in the change. 

And how much they think they are what they’ve always been. 

 "If you’re not a socialist before you’re twenty-five, you have no heart; if you are a socialist after twenty-five, you have no head."

The world changes, and so do we all. The important bit is to not lose our humanity, no matter the change. 

 how can one check that you are on the wrong path? 

 Embracing change is a good thing. Change is the only constant. 

 You get smarter when you get older. Kids are dumb and easily manipulated
