I mostly agree with this. It’s impossible to get a sense of when anything is a joke online when it can’t be expressed with voice inflection or body language. The problem with the Internet is most people will say something and fallback to, “I was joking”, or, “it’s a joke”, only to save their ass, especially is they originally weren’t meaning it as a joke.
