Today the Australian government is announcing that teenagers under 16 will be banned from social media.

This implies people over the age of 16 will need to link their government identification to every social media account.

The announcement coincides with the preparation of a federal Misinformation Bill - compelling platforms to crack down on what our "eSafety" commissioner deems disinformation.

 Tor is a time who's come.  Nostr follows. 

 I don't see Tor becoming any more mainstream, even I only use it for a few specific purposes - like connecting to my bitcoin node. Tor's time was in the 2010s and it never stopped. Unless there was a complete rearchitecture that solved bandwidth and DDOS concerns, normies can't stand slow internet.
