When someone asks me about Bitcoin and why I am into it, I simply tell them that I would rather store my work and life energy in an asset that has a fixed supply in favour of ones like the US/CAD dollar which are being devalued over time through endless money printing. Then I tell them that unless they put in the work to do their own research, anything else I have to share with them about Bitcoin will be a waste of time until they invest a few hours to digest the following resources (which I believe to be the best 4 resources to fast-track someone to an understanding of why Bitcoin is our only current alternative to full spectrum slavery):
1. Book -
The Creature From Jekyll Island by G. Edward Griffin
When I was introduced to this book back in 2000, it woke me up to the fact that money was co-opted by the elite in the early 1900’s in order to circumvent justice and equity for the working class for the remainder of the 20th century.
2. Podcast Series -
Episodes 1-9 of the What is Money? Podcast with Robert Breedlove and Michael Saylor
This series covers all of the material that most people miss about the nature of our most important communicator of value (money) through its omission from public education.
3. Paper -
The Bitcoin Whitepaper by Satoshi Nakamoto
The nuts and bolts of What. It. Is. And why.
4. Book -
The Bitcoin Standard by Saifedean Ammous
An amazing summation of the origin of money and why Bitcoin represents a sound alternative to fiat.
I’ve given up trying to orange pill people in a matter of days. If they express an interest, I just give them this homework assignment to catch them up and make our next conversations (and any questions they have) way more meaningful.
Then I point them at Dan and Josh’s podcast at Blue Collar Bitcoin #bcb. Because who doesn’t love a good dick joke lol. These guys are awesome.
