 I wish furniture flippers would learn you can replace damaged veneer and not every piece of wood furniture needs to be painted. A moment of silence for all the beautiful wood furniture pieces made to look like it’s from ikea. 😞

 To be fair, that false antiquing with paint is where the money is. Source: me and my wife have Sold many a piece that wouldn’t sell before paint, and for more money.

I did pay my bills one slow summer a couple years ago building benches from 2x4’s and 2x6’s though, most of those were a simple stain and poly. Sold ‘em for like 4x the cost of materials lol

 My original comment was brought on by watching someone paint burl walnut navy blue. They removed the carved legs and trim for poorly constructed boxy pine legs and trim. The final dresser looked like something from IKEA. It made me sad.

 Yeah…I didn’t realize people were that far gone…I retract my previous statement.

I’d also be the ass to lowball them and then remove that paint lol
