Assuming that that’s roughly $10 in 2005 money, it implies a compound annual inflation rate of only roughly 2.8% over 500 years.

That seems wildly optimistic. Extrapolating a conservative M2 inflation of 8%, $10 in 2005 should be roughly equal to $500,000,000,000,000,000 in 2505.
